If you are preparing for the RSMSSB JEn or the upcoming Rajasthan CET 2026, your very first step is getting your Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) ID.
Think of your SSO ID as your digital key to the state. The Rajasthan SSO system seamlessly integrates over 100 state government services—meaning a single login grants you access to everything from e-Mitra bill payments to the crucial Recruitment Portal. Without it, you cannot fill out an exam form, download your admit card, or check your results.
The official Rajasthan government portal can seem a bit confusing at first. That’s why we’ve put together this simple, step-by-step guide to help you create your SSO ID quickly so you can get back to your studies.
What You Need Before You Start
The portal has a strict time limit, so keep these details ready before you open the website:
If you live in Rajasthan:
- Jan Aadhaar Card Number: This is the fastest and easiest way to register.
- Your Aadhaar Card: Make sure your linked mobile number is active to receive OTPs.
- An active Email Address.
If you are applying from outside Rajasthan:
- An active Google (Gmail) Account.
- An active Mobile Number.
Step-by-Step SSO ID Registration
1 Go to the Official Portal
- Step 1.1: Open a desktop browser (Chrome or Firefox) and visit the official site: sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
- Step 1.2: Click on the "Registration" tab at the top of the page.
2 Select Your Identity
- Step 2.1: On the registration page, click on the Citizen tab.
- Step 2.2 (For Rajasthan Residents): Click on the Jan Aadhaar icon. Type in your Jan Aadhaar number, select your name from your family list, and click "Next."
- Step 2.3 (For Candidates Outside Rajasthan): Click on the Google icon. The system will prompt you to log in using your normal Gmail account.
3 Verify with OTP
- Step 3.1: Wait to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number (or via Google).
- Step 3.2: Enter the OTP into the required field and click Verify.
4 Create Your Username and Password
- Step 4.1: After verification, the system will provide a default SSO ID (Username), usually a combination of your name and numbers. Write this down somewhere safe immediately.
- Step 4.2: Create a strong, memorable password.
- Step 4.3: Fill in your Mobile Number and Email ID.
- Step 4.4: Click Register. A green success message will confirm your registration is complete!
Important Next Step: Complete Your OTR
Once your account is created, do not stop there. You need to complete your One-Time Registration (OTR), which saves you from typing your personal details every single time you apply for a new exam.
- Log back into sso.rajasthan.gov.in using your new ID and Password.
- Go to the Update Profile section and make sure your details match your 10th Marksheet exactly.
- Link your Aadhaar Card (especially if you registered using Google).
- Click on the Recruitment Portal app inside your SSO dashboard.
- Follow the instructions to complete your One-Time Registration (OTR).
Quick Fixes for Common Problems
You might have created an ID in the past (maybe for a college scholarship). Don't panic. Go to the login page, click "Forgot SSOID," and recover it using your mobile number or Jan Aadhaar.
Clear your browser history or try opening the site in an "Incognito" window.
You can easily reset it via SMS. Type RJ SSO PASSWORD and send it to 9223166166 from your registered mobile number.
